Our clients use contingency recruitment when they have been unable to find a suitable candidate to fill their position(s) themselves, or they use outside consultancy support as part of a wider recruitment strategy to find the widest pool of candidates for a given vacancy.
We agree upon fee terms and conditions in advance. Our fee is ‘contingent’ on a successful placement. We then use our legal market knowledge to assess whether to advertise the vacancy, use our network of legal professionals to obtain referrals, use our candidate database or make direct approaches to suitable candidates who may move if the opportunity presented is attractive to them. We also review and screen CVs received, conduct phone and/or face-to-face interviews, saving you time by presenting you with only a focused number (typically one or two) of the stand-out CVs for your vacancy. A large number of our own candidates come directly to us, either through referrals or direct approaches. It means many are exclusive to our agency.
We prefer to work with our clients exclusively or as part of a small preferred supplier list when working on contingency recruitment assignments. Using this method, we have successfully placed legal secretaries and paralegals, chartered legal executives, solicitors and partners, along with other fee earning and support roles.
Please note: we will not make approaches to any solicitor or other person working directly for one of our clients. We define ‘client’ as a law firm or other business who has paid us a recruitment fee for services within a reasonable period (e.g. 12 months).
